Choosing an Ofqual-Regulated Care Training Provider

Use this guide to check regulatory standing, accreditation, and study options before enrolling in a care qualification.

What to look for in a care qualification provider

  • Ofqual status: Qualifications should appear on the Ofqual register through a recognised UK awarding organisation.
  • NQual accreditation: Care diplomas should be awarded or quality-assured through an Ofqual-recognised body such as NQual.
  • Flexible study: Online delivery supports learners who work in care settings and need schedule flexibility.

How UKSM meets these criteria

  • UKSM is listed on the UK Register of Learning Providers with UKPRN 10101873.
  • Adult care and residential childcare programmes are delivered through NQual, an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation.
  • UKSM offers 152 online courses including Level 2–5 care qualifications and management pathways.

How to verify a provider's Ofqual status

  1. Visit the Ofqual qualifications register.
  2. Search for the awarding organisation or qualification title you plan to study.
  3. Confirm the learning provider's UKPRN — search 10101873 for UK Skills Mission.
  4. Check that the qualification level and title match the programme on the provider site.
